PURPOSE OF THIS LEGAL NOTICE
The purpose of this notice is to inform users accessing this website about the policy followed by its controllers, as provided for by article 13 of Legislative Decree No. 196 dated 30 June 2003. This notice is targeted to every Data Subjects accessing this website, located at

The said address leads to the homepage of Giuseppe Pera Foundation website, and this notice refers to Giuseppe Pera Foundation website only, therefore excluding other websites, if any, accessed by way of links. Besides, this notice is written according to Recommendation 2001/2 by Supervising Authorities for Personal Data Protection, gathered in the Working Party set by Article 29 of Directive 95/46/EC of the European Parliament , which entered into force on 17th May 2001. Its purpose is to strike a balance between a high level of protection for the privacy of individuals and the free movement of personal data, providing for minimum requirements for collecting personal data on-line and, in particular, for the manner, timing and nature of the information that data controllers must provide users when they log on, regardless of the purpose of the link.

LOCATION OF DATA PROCESSING
Data processing related to e-services provided by this web site is performed at the above mentioned office. Data are only handled by technical staff in charge, or other operators in charge of occasional maintenance. No data related to any e-service are communicated or disclosed. Personal data provided by users in order to receive information material, are only collected to the necessary extent to reply and/or perform the service required.

Surfing Data
In their regular operation, computer systems and software used to operate this website receive personal data of a certain type, the transmission of which is implicit in internet communication protocols. Those data are not collected in order to be linked to identified data subjects; nevertheless, due to their own nature, they could allow users to be indentified on account of their processing and linking to other data, controlled by third parties. Data included in this type are IP addresses, domain names of computers browsing the site, URIs (i.e. Uniform Resource Identifiers) of the requested resources, time of the requests, methods used when submitting requests to the server, size of files received by reply, numeric codes tracking server replies (e.g., success, error, etc ...), and other parameters related to operating systems as well as users’ software environments. These data are only used for the purpose of gathering anonymous statistic information on the use and functioning of the website. They may also be used to verify liability in case of any legal IT-related offence to the detriment of the website. We should like to point out that the use of this Network by users does not involve any costs or fees.
Data voluntarily disclosed by users
When users, by voluntary own decision, send e-mails to e-mail addresses provided by this website, or when they fill in and send forms provided by this website, their e-mail addresses are necessarily processed in order to reply, as well as other data, if any, included in their communications. On those pages in this website providing special e-services unpon request, specific notices on the relevant information shall be made available.
USE OF COOKIES
No personal data of web users are retrieved from this site. No cookies are used for the disclosure of personal information. Moreover, neither so-called persistent cookies, nor any user tracking system are used. The use of so-called session cookies (i.e. cookies that are not stored permanently on users’ computers, therefore they do they do not last after exit from browser) is strictly limited to the processing of session-specific identification data (made of random figures generated by the server) which are necessary to enable the user to safely and efficiently explore the website. Through the use of session cookies on this website, other tools that are potentially detrimental to safe surfing can be avoided; furthermore, such cookies do not allow for disclosure of users’ personal identification data.
Apart from information about surfing data processing, we should like to point out that users are free to provide personal data in the relavant forms or anyway reported in their communications to the Foundation , in order to request information material or other communications. Failing to provide those data would make it impossible to have the request fulfilled. Please note that in certain circumsatances (not in the ordinary management of this site, anyway) Authorities may request information under Article 157 of Legislative Decree No. 2003/196, in order to control the processing of personal data. In such cases, it is mandatory, under penalty, to reply.
DATA TREATMENT
Personal data are processed by automated tools and used only for the necessary time to the purposes for which they were collected. Specific security measures are taken to prevent data loss, misuse, improper use, and unauthorized access.
DATA OWNERS’ RIGHTS
Every data subject may exercise the following rights referring to the said data, as provided forth by Article 7 of Legislative Decree No. 196 dated 30 June 2003:
1. The right to obtain confirmation about the collection of their personal data and clear communication of the same data, even before their recording;
2. The right to be informed of the source of the personal data, as well as of the purposes and methods of the processing;
3. The right to be informed of of the logic applied to the processing, if the latter is carried out with the help of electronic means;
4. The right to obtain updating, rectification or, where interested therein, integration of the data;
5. The right to obtain erasure, anonymization or blocking of data that have been processed unlawfully, including data whose retention is unnecessary for the purposes for which they have been collected or subsequently processed;
6. The right to obtain certification to the effect that the operations as per points 4 and 5 have been notified, as also related to their contents, to the entities to whom or which the data were communicated or disseminated, unless this requirement proves impossible or involves a manifestly disproportionate effort compared with the right that is to be protected.
